DR. SUSAN LAFLESCHE PICOTTE WAS THE FIRST NATIVE AMERICAN FEMALE PHYSICIAN. SHE OPENED HER RURAL HOSPITAL IN WALTHILL, NE IN 1913. THIS BUILDING TODAY IS OWNED BY THIS ENTITY. UNTIL 2016 THE BUILDING WAS AN AREA MUSEUM. CURRENTLY WE ARE WORKING TO RESTORE THIS HISTORIC FACILITY.
